Simon Kot is a highly experienced local government executive with more than 25 years of leadership experience across Western Australia. He joined the City of Karratha executive team in 2006 before being appointed Director Strategic Projects and Infrastructure in 2013. In this role for 13 years, Simon led the delivery of more than $400 million in City-led infrastructure projects, including the Karratha Leisureplex, Karratha Airport Redevelopment and the Red Earth Arts Precinct, helping shape Karratha’s growth as a regional city.
Prior to joining the City, Simon served several local governments building a strong foundation in community development, strategic planning and organisational leadership.
In his new role as Director Strategic Projects and Business, Simon is focussed on partnerships, collaboration and driving strategic projects that support the City’s growth and development whilst also overseeing several key City business operations. His leadership continues to support economic development, enhance community outcomes and position the City of Karratha for long-term success.
