Kimberly Walpot is an accomplished Petroleum Engineer and a senior executive at Woodside Energy, Australia’s largest independent energy company. As of January 2024, she serves as Vice President for the Browse to Northwest Shelf Project, a major LNG development located off the coast of Western Australia.
With more than 30 years’ experience in the energy sector, Kimberly brings deep expertise in managing complex, large-scale oil and gas developments across diverse geographies including Australia, West Africa, the Middle East, and Alaska. Since joining Woodside in 2013, she has held several senior leadership roles, including Development Manager for the Scarborough Project and Vice President Business Finance, and has been instrumental in advancing key LNG initiatives central to Australia’s energy infrastructure. Before joining Woodside, she held technical advisory and operational site-based roles on major onshore oil and gas assets and projects with international energy companies bp, Shell and Hess.
Kimberly holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering and is a Chartered Professional Engineer and Fellow of Engineers Australia. She is also a graduate of the Cranlana Centre for Ethical Leadership, a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and an alumna of Harvard Business School’s Program for Leadership Development (PLD27).
She is a passionate advocate for inclusive leadership and a firm believer in the power of cultural diversity to drive innovative business outcomes.
