In this role Chris leads the division accountable for end-to-end Pilbara iron ore supply chain services. This includes the rail network that moves iron ore from Rio Tinto’s 17 Pilbara mines, then on to customers via the four port terminals at Dampier and Cape Lambert.
Chris is also responsible for the Robe Joint Venture, Dampier Salt business and the provision of core services. Across Pilbara iron ore operations this includes towns, villages and facilities management, utilities and sustaining capital projects.
Chris recently returned to Western Australia from the United States where he led the Strategic Initiative Office for Rio Tinto's Kennecott copper operations.
He has spent many years in the Pilbara as General Manager Tom Price & Marandoo, and General Manager for Cape Lambert Port. He built his career leading large operational teams and has held roles at many of Rio Tinto’s mines - from fixed plant, to mine services, to health and safety.
